i have finally made up my mind to get an ibanez K5 or an ibanez sr505.
i will try 5 strings instead of jumping to 6,...............

any opinions on the two said bases?? not so pleasant experience? warp issue or anything?? all i could find on the net was corporate review,.so it all says the good things,....

Not too sure about the SR505, but tried the K5 before at Swee Lee (Bras Basah)

Feel wise, I found the neck a little too thin (I'm biased towards fat-assed Fender necks)

Sound wise, it was a little thin to me.

Don't take my word for it, do try it for yourself and let your ears decide for you!

both the necks are too thin for my liking. i did and a/b between the sr506 and btb556 and liked the sound of the brb more. sounds warmer and deeper.

best current production ibby 5 string neck i've tried is the rd series.

i would still advice prospective buyers to consider other offerings with reference to the K5's asking price. the BTB models are good considerations but these sport a slightly longer scale length + a different neck profile. the K5 is largely based on an SR hence the similarities.
