Default Pedaltrain Mini fail?

this concerns all PT Mini owners. i just figured i'd post this in the Bass gear section since small boards apply more for bassists. anyway, i wanted to see if any other Mini owners also experience this problem.

i dropped by Blackwood this afternoon to buy a new PT Mini. carried it home by the handle since my hands were free. but after unpacking it and trying the strap...

due to the metal rings being at the bottom of the Mini, this is what happens when you try to use the strap.

epic design fail? discuss.

I had that same thing too. I thought it was really awkward carrying like tat but no other choice. What were the folks at Pedaltrain thinking?

you'd think they would pay a little bit more attention to detail to such a simple thing. but well, nothing's perfect. otherwise the pt mini is pretty great. this kind of thing can be lived with i guess.

and the mini is pretty useful for guitar folks too... especially as a 2nd or 3rd board

damn it, one of the main reasons it got it was so i could free a hand. looks like that won't happen.

where's j_m_s and his Mini?

i guess you could sling it other ways lah. maybe shorten the strap and sling it across your body

nope, that still doesn't work. i've tried every single humane way possible to sling it. still droops down like that.

also, what i don't get is the lack of similar rants on this particular design flaw. or maybe nobody uses the strap.

J_M_S is in Malaysia. Hahaha.

I think most PT owners would agree that the PT strap isn't the most reliable way of carrying it. I remember Gr3y was carrying his PT2 when the strap gave way, or something like that.

But a full PT mini should be alright to carry by the strap, as compared to the junior, 2 and pro. Maybe you can try getting the hooks at the side?

my brother's PT2 strap broke too, the plastic part that controls the length. which was explainable cause it weighs 10kg or something.

this strap seems more reliable, as the black plastic parts have been replaced with metal ones. also, i don't think a Mini can get heavy enough for the strap to give way.

what do you mean, get the hooks by the side? when you lift it up by the strap, the inbalance in weight will cause it to droop down to the position you see in the pics. also, that Mini is fully loaded.

It's meant to be slung across your body apparently.

tried, still won't work. it'll still droop down to that position.

or maybe it's because i'm skinny.
