See the current hoop position right... Move perpendicularly downwards about 2 inches down and flip the metal semi circle thing 45 degrees to the left.

Could be a matter of height as well? I'm guessing that if you are vertically challenged, the bag would have less surface area to rest on.

no go, the problem here is the location of the metal ring. instead of being in the center of the soft case like the other PTs, this one is at the end for who knows what reason. besides, the metal ring just flips back to the position you see in the picture no matter what.

nah, the first one to carry the Mini was my brother, and he's not short or skinny.

anyway, i emailed Pedaltrain for kicks. hopefully they'll rectify this problem in future Minis.

Thanks for the message and choosing the Pedaltrain.
This is not a defect in the design, the bag was not meant to be carried as a messenger bag. The bag was made to be carried over your shoulder with the bag on your back.
this is the reply i got from Pedaltrain. makes sense if you think about it.

but...how are you going to sling the Mini onto your back while carrying your guitar at the same time?

edit: cheh i figured it our. i interpreted Pedaltrain's email as carrying the Mini like a normal messenger sling bag slung across with it on your back, Pedaltrain logo facing outwards.

turns out that the more practical way (probably the one they were talking about) is to sling it on one shoulder with the Mini on your back, logo facing outwards. now i get it, it's just a different carrying style from all the other PTs.

Apparently, this bag is not meant to be carry that way. Shorten the strap and hang over your shoulder. It should just fit behind the back of the shoulder.

Anyway, I actually asked PT about this...

This was the only way they could securely mount the strap on IIRC.

Its also meant to be slung across your back (I've done it and it fits fine)

Default Fail

I agree with the failure in design. I am also using the PT Mini. And I figured from the way the rings are positioned, we are suppose to sling it across our back. WHICH sucks when we are already carrying a gigbag.

^5 for PT Mini sling failure.

And for those saying sling it like a messenger back, I guess you do not own a PT Mini. It DOES NOT stay on your shoulders because of how it's positioned!
