thx guys... i actually noe nuts abt bass... LOL... i juz mimick my guitar paying and scales into bass playing...

may have to verify your techniques:
1) is your bass note 'ringing' long enough (legato)?
2) are your other strings muted when you struck your bass note? always try to eliminate droning notes so that your bass note comes out clean.
