Tabs Section

i was wondering if SOFT should have a tabs section where people can post tabs or request some, i know we can always go to other websites e.g ultimate guitar

but still i feel that it would be great

the problem is tabs are covered by copyrights, which UG found a way to work around by basing their server outside the US (the server's in a country with a name that starts with r and ends in ussia). websites that are based in the US like the new one by guitar world have to pay artist royalties to print tabs for their songs.

yeap correct. i read bout it in some guitar mag, said UG is based outside US. but the digital tabs by GW are superb la. i paid for one before, just for the heck of it, an A7X tab, and yeah, it was great. professionally transcribed.

but TS, good idea. maybe i can start the ball rolling? oh ok, the dude above has already requested for local tabs. alright, anyone knows where to get j-pop/j-rock tabs? since i jumped ship and started listenin to jap, i couldnt find a good and reliable site for japanese tabs. not asking for a UG-like site, perhaps something which covers the more popular artistes.

anyway, not many good places for J-rock tabs. i had been trying but no luck thus far

Local bands giving their tabs? Hmm... I'm not sure whether that can be done without the concensus of the bands. I mean, it's their song, and giving the tabs (in my opinion) will be like selling my soul. I (personally) won't be comfortable with giving my tabs away that easily

yes it is... yes it is. If it's done by pros then fair enough. Tabs are usually done by fans!!
