Review of Buy/Sell Rules

The Buy/Sell rules thread is rather messy, with various adopted suggestions. This is but a summary of the revisions posted by the various softies. I propose that we edit the first post of the Guideline thread so as to make the rules clearer.

Suggested Buy/Sell Rules

1. Format
- Use the following abbreviations followed by a short description of the item in the TITLE field to indicate your intentions.:

WTS - Want to sell
WTB - Want to buy
WTT - Want to trade

- To maintain consistency in providing essential information, use the following sample template for ALL trade posting:

Description of Item: eg. Audio Techinica ATH-A900. Closed back headphones (Provide item details)
Condition : eg. 8/10 (1-10 scale. Please read this important thread)
Warranty : eg. Nil. (Indicate if there's any warranty left and the length)
Selling price : eg. $200 firm (Specify whether FIRM or NEG. Indicate other currencies, ie USD, GBP if not in SGD)
Preferred Location : eg. Red line MRT stations or town (Indicate the preferred transact location)
Preferred Mode of Contact : eg. Email me (indicate your choice of contact for inquiry, deal confirmation etc)
Contact Detail : eg. iamaseller@dunnowhere.com (phone number, email address)

-For ease of selling multiple items, please state the items briefly in the title of the thread

eg. WTS: Pickguard, backplates, 3pdt, baseplate, CTS pot, jack+plate

2. Details
Please include all details regarding the ad in your FIRST post. Any updates on availability or pricing should be edited into the FIRST post.

3. Include pictures
Pictures should not be too large. Width should be no bigger than 600 pixels.

4. Do not indulge in small talk

5. Most importantly, DO NOT make multiple post of the same ad.

6. Due to the heavy traffic in Buy/Sell and bandwidth limits, there must be at least 4 days between ad reposts.

Even If you're changing the pricing or asking for different trade, you're still selling/trading the same thing. So 4 days in between ad reposts.

I really like the way ClubSnap does their classified ads. There is a format to follow. Make it easier to have all the necessary details.
