I'm surprised to see loudness not being part of the judging criteria.

I would have thought the loudest band should be judged by a dB meter only.
Pure scientific method.

Of course there is also the issue of are we talking momentary volume peak or average volume level throughout the period!

I don't think they mean loudest as in volume, but metaphorically as the best..

BTW, is this competition only for originals or can we do covers as well..
