How to tell a fake fender?

Hi im just curious as im getting one soon. Anyone can tell me what to look out for? Thanks

the pick guard & the control knobs & the nut could be made from melamine.

if the strings don't have the 'dooong....dooong' sound maybe fake.

check the spelling on the head stock ...fender is spelt 'F-E-N-D-E-R' look out for
'F-N-E-D-R-E', 'F-O-N-D-A-R'....or if time permits ..'g-i-b-s-o-n'.
