Recently i've just changed my squier for a new shine viola bass which i got from music theme after sourcing alot of shops(of course i want a hofner from davis! but....$$ lol)

I would say the service at music theme is pretty alright , been going there for strings and such...theres a uncle there whos pretty nice and explain to me bout their products, the young dude there is cool as well but somehow im intimidated by him.hahaha

pricing is average but for some guitars i would say ranking got some of the best buys.

**im a beginner in bass, so dun flame me cause i nvr state your favourite shops hor...lol

if you are looking for the largest range, then it's probably swee lee. any particular brands that you are looking to try or do you have a budget in mind?

if you can wait it might pay off to get one at the swee lee sales. no doubt it isn't really half price but it is a significant discount nonetheless

at this price range i think you should forget about brand reputations etc. go for something that feels good, and you won't regret it. if you are not bothered by brand names, you could check out timbre (standard value) or stagg (zen). personally i am sometimes more confident of picking out a gem from a small-name manufacturer

at that price range i have previously owned an ibanez gsr200 (swee lee) and an olp mm2 (davis). they were both pretty decent
