Default How often do you change your strings?

i know everyone plays at different frequencies (pun intended), but yeah i just want to see how often you people change.

i play at least once every 2 days for at least an hour.. and i haven't changed in at least 2 years. ;p strings are still working very fine though.

i changed my strings once recently, but i plan to never change my strings ever again, until one snaps

I got a bright sound from the new strings, and i wipe down + oil my strings everytime after I play. that'll keep them lasting, and I also want the warm old strings sound back again

my strings snap pretty fast. Mainly the high E string (.9) They don't last more than 2 months though.

You'll know when to change when you can aurally detect a significant muddiness in the sound....for me it's normally once every 3-4 months......DR HI-Beams baby...costly

ok, i'm still very puzzled how so many pple here are able to snap their strings on a regular basis.

it's.... unhealthy

edit: oh, they're guitar strings you're talking about? isn't this a bass thread?
