Default Acoustic bass for practice

Hello fellow bassists, just wanna ask is it a good idea to buy an acoustic bass for practice sake so i can bring it into camp to play?

i badly wanna bring in my bass to play, but then i have to bring in the amp too, and space is a constraint.

so yeah, what do you guys think?

thanks a million!

Well, i'm not a bassist but i do play bass. In my opinion, it's ok to buy an acoustic bass but it might not be as audible as acoustic guitar due to low frequency. As for the price, it cost $400+/-.

Don't bring into camp! Wait lend here lend there, it will come back to you not in the shape of a bass! Hehe.

you can always buy a headphone amplifier instead. that way, you can plug your headphone to this gadget, and then plug that to your regular bass guitar.
